Why should health care not be a free or cheap service?

If your only response is “socialism,” save your breath.
I cannot understand why anybody, other than people who make money from the current system, would be against free or cheap health care. I’ve had 3 people in my family die because they could not afford preventative health care. All 3 were hard working americans. [...]
